What is the best way to generate real estate leads?

I am a Starbucks addict living in the northern suburbs of Chicago. I am a freelance web designer as well as an internet consultant who can be hired on an hourly basis. 
There is no easy way to generate leads. It is all hard work…passing out your cards, word of mouth, referrals. In my area a lot of agents ignor fsbo’s and if you approach them right you will get them every time. Do not send a letter or call. Show up at the door, introduce yourself as a Realor. Ask about the house and whyn they are moving but let the conversation flow naturally, don’t force the lsiting that will come if you just talk about everyday stuff. Also give them all the forms they would need IF they sell the hosue on their own . If they don’t sell it on their own they will remember the nice girl who brought the forms and was nice to them……they WILL call and list with you.
FSBOs and Expired Listings. Why? You know they want to sell.
try for FSBO leads for expireds. Good luck
farm a specific area on a regular basis.
